SANTA! I KNOW HIM!

I have been waiting for this day for a long time....

My kids have become obsessed with the movie Elf. :)  Random times they will repeat random quotes from this movie, their favorite being, "SANTA! I KNOW HIM".  I thought Miles would be too little for this movie yet, and while most of it does not grasp his attention he somehow knows if there will be a Santa, elf or Christmas tree sighting and comes back from whatever he was doing just to inform you of what he saw.

We were fortunate enough to see Santa a few times this year!

The end of November, the neighboring town had a Santa event where you could make calls to the North Pole, decorate cookies, get your picture taken with Santa and other festive things throughout the downtown businesses.  When we got down there we thought our first stop would be the fire station to see Santa.  Turns out that was everyone else's idea too because we waited over an hour to see him.  You can't even imagine how much fun it was standing in line for AN HOUR with our three blessings crazies.  So much fun that by the time we saw Santa we had enough holiday cheer and threw in the towel and went home. #bahhumbug

Here were the professional photos.  This guy was amazing, he takes free photos every year because when he lost his young child a few years ago he said the community was so great to him that he does this in return as a "thank you" to the community.  That's enough to get you in the Christmas Spirit--(not enough to want to walk your kids around all the other line-crazy festivities though).

Some day I'll remember all these little facts...Harper and Miles are currently OBSESSED with farm stuff.  Miles will only where his "Farmer cowboy boots" and Harper has recently outgrown her cowboy boots so wheres these Ugg-esque ones because they look like cowgirl boots...

The very next day Santa was in our town for breakfast.  We were able to talk to him and by this point they were all regular old pros at this talking-with-Santa-thing, except for Hazel--she wanted to get back to her breakfast pizza and cinnamon rolls...

We've shared our lists with Santa and Marley and tried to be as good as we could.  Now all we have to do is wait for him to come!

100 Rapunzel dresses, must be floor length (she borrowed one at our friend's house for pajamas and now she's obsessed)

Barbie dresses with lots of clothes and a 100 Ken dolls(apparently she's tired of sharing with Miles)

Miles: 

presents (that's all he'll ever say if you ask)

Hazel: 

more cookies (she can spot the Christmas cookie Tupperware from a mile away...)
